e rejoice in the knowledge that God has crossed our paths today! We pray that He opens our eyes to how we can encourage you as you take time to look over our website and hopefully visit our church. We do not believe your visit to our website was by chance, so we invite you to join with our church family as we worship, learn, grow and encourage one another throughout the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

J

esus established the church to be a community of believers, a family, to encourage each other in unity and to project His love to the world. As a family, our goal is to love each other without conditions or expectations. We confess that we are unable, on our own, to practice the unconditional love demonstrated by our Father, but we pray and desire that He empowers us to demonstrate His love to you and those around us.

I

f you are searching for a group of people to accept you where you are and challenge you to grow in your reflection of God’s love, “Welcome” for that is our goal. If you decide to join us, we commit to pray, to listen with compassion, and to forgive and to nurture. We invite you to explore our Father with us in worship, fellowship and growth as we live life thru His Son! We hope to see you soon!

From the Pastor

G

reetings. I am so excited you have chosen to take the time to visit our website. Zion Church of Freeport is waiting for you to come and visit. It is our goal to be:

  • A place marked by love and grace both in message and in lifestyle.
  • A place of worship, where the Name, character and work of Jesus is exalted.
  • A place of truth, where the Word of God, the Bible, is our ultimate source of authority and guidance.

If God is leading you to worship, serve, fellowship and grow in a church like Zion, we would be thrilled! Please come by and visit. We would love to meet you!

The Ministry of Zion Church

I

t is our prayer that the ministry of Zion Church would allow Zion to be:

A PLACE OF RECONCILIATION, where broken lives and relationships are made whole –

A PLACE OF REPENTANCE, where sin is acknowledged and turned from –

A PLACE OF INSTRUCTION, where God’s Word is boldly proclaimed, clearly taught and eagerly followed –

A PLACE OF MIRACULOUS PROVISION, where God is free to be God and do what only God can do –

A PLACE OF IMACT, where what is happening inside our church is impacting lives and communities outside of our church –

A PLACE OF VICTORY, where we are actively engaged in the battle for souls, the battle for truth and the battle to preserve the unity and oneness of the body of Christ.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
